It’s officially Drake season.

The news tallies with industry sources who’ve long touted a Q2 roll-out for the follow-up to 2016 LP ‘Views’ and 2017’s “playlist” ‘More Life.’
As above mentioned, the reveal comes at a success-filled window for the star – real name Aubrey Graham.
Because in an unprecedented occurrence, he has replaced himself at #1 on the US chart after reigning for 11 weeks with ‘Plan.’
By reaching the apex of the coveted count, Drizzy earns his fifth overall win on the tally.
How did he do it?
Well, ‘Nice’ earned a whopping 60.4 million US streams in the week ending April 12th; it also sifted 88,000 downloads in the same tracking week, and amassed an all-format radio audience of 31 million.
As for how this huge feat bodes in the history books, Drake now:
becomes the 13th artist ever to replace themselves at #1
has 30th #1 in the Hot 100’s history
tied with Elvis Presley for the fourth most top 10 entries by a solo male (25).

The slayage is real.
And it’s safe to predict that Drake will be stinging the competition on the album front when ‘Scorpion’ arrives in June.
