Drake’s “One Dance” Is the most Streamed Song in Spotify History

Another history has been made by Drake!

The rapper/singer scored his first ever solo No. 1 song with his VIEWS single “One Dance.” Spotify announced that “One Dance” which features Nigeria’s wizkid & Kyla has become the platform’s most streamed song ever.

It has received over 880 million streams, topping the previous record-holder “Lean On” (by Major Lazer and DJ Snake featuring MØ), which had 526 million global plays when it became most-streamed last November.

According to a press release, Drake has over 8 billion total streams on Spotify. Upon its April release, VIEWS, in particular, broke many streaming records, despite being a two-week Apple Music exclusive.
In its first week, the album’s tracks were played over 245 million times in the United States, on its way to becoming the nation’s No. 1 record. The next two weeks, it racked up 141 million and 186 million streams, respectively, setting a record for the three biggest streaming weeks ever.
