Hottest Celebrity Feuds Of 2018 & Their ‘Winners’
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Vs Tyrese
In October 2017, Gibson took several shots at Johnson on Instagram, calling him out and blaming him for the push of the upcoming Fast & Furious 9, which will not be released until April 10, 2020, due to Johnson’s upcoming solo spin-off.
Johnson did not respond positively to the several disses, but when The Rock appeared on Watch What Happens Live to talk about their feud, he says;
“We haven’t talked at all… That whole thing with Tyrese was pretty disappointing.”
“A beef requires two people to actually jump in it and it was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media,” he went on. Fans of the former friends should not hold their breath for any reconciliation anytime soon because, according to the actor, “there’s no need to have a conversation.”
Later in June 2018 after Johnson refused to make any other comments on his Tyrese situation, Tyrese regrets his beef with The Rock. He says:
“It was “not professional” to make his beef with “Fast and Furious” co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson public.
“Stupid me was the only one who went public about those feelings, which is my own fault”.
Winner? Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson!
Blac Chyna Vs Rob Kardashian/The Kardashians
It all started when Rob Kardashian called out his then-fiance, Blac Chyna in a big way, posting a video she sent him of her kissing another guy on Instagram.
He wrote; “Hahahaha Chyna just sent me this video saying happy 4th of July what a crazy person. Come spend time with your daughter instead of f*cking me and then this dude right after. U need help.”
Blac Chyna however filed a lawsuit for Rob’s criminal revenge porn. She also filed for a restraining order thereafter. After suing her ex, she also sued the entire Kardashian family for having damaged her brand and verbally and physically abused her.
After a few months, Blac Chyna resurfaced again, blaming the family for cancellation of her reality show, which was not renewed for a second season after 2016.
She claimed E! and production team, as well as herself and Rob, were all on board and ready to shoot a second season before the show was axed.
Chyna also claimed the Kardashians defamed her and have been using their ‘fame, wealth, and power’ to take her down.’
Winner? Rob Kardashian/The Kardashians
Drake vs Pusha T
Drake and Pusha T have been dissing each other on songs since as far back as 2011. Pusha T (real name Terrence LeVarr Thornton) regularly called out Drake for not writing his own bars and using ghostwriters, all while Drizzy claimed to be one of the greats. Pusha had always notoriously fired shots at Birdman, Lil Wayne & and their crew but Drake first sent shots at Pusha T in defence of his mentor and close friend, Lil Wayne and that’s when things went left.
Things went back and forth for several years and the beef took another turn in 2018 when Pusha T took shots at Drake on his 2018 ‘Daytona’ album after Drake discredited Pusha T’s street credibility on a “More Life” track. Diss songs followed but the last straw to break the camel’s back was when Drake came for Pusha’s then-fiance.
Pusha T didn’t let the “Duppy Freestyle” slide and he flipped on his response diss “The Story Of Adidon,” a scathing tell-all, that alleges Drake has a baby with former porn star Sophie Brussaux, a son called Adonis. Drake has never revealed whether or not he has a child. Pusha T raps: “Your father walked away at five, hell of a dad thing” he continued: “You are hiding a child, let that boy come home/ Deadbeat mothaf*cka, playin’ border patrol/ Adonis is your son.”
Since then, Drake went suspiciously quiet on his Pusha’s beef!
Winner? Pusha T!
Remy Ma vs Nicki Minaj
The public beef allegedly started in 2007, when Nicki Minaj released the freestyle “Dirty Money” off her Playtime Is Over mixtape in 2007, which includes the line: “Tell that bitch with the crown to run it like Chris Brown” over a beat from Terror Squad’s “Yeah Yeah Yeah.” Minaj never confirmed the rumor that she was taking shots at Remy Ma, a Terror Squad MC. Remy Ma felt the line was a personal attack and confronted Minaj at a release party.
The beef seemingly expired when Ma was incarcerated on multiple charges in 2008.
But since Remy Ma’s release in 2014, she took several shots at Minaj while restarting her rap career with “Shether,” and later, “Another One”.
In guest spots on two 2017 tracks – Gucci Mane’s “Make Love” and Jason Derulo’s “Swalla” – Minaj referenced her beef with Remy Ma for the first time since becoming famous. She asserted her rap dominance, supporting her argument by pointing out how poorly Remy Ma’s recent album with Fat Joe sold.
Minaj also fired back at Remy after silence with “No Frauds”.
Nicki Minaj vs Cardi B
It all started in March 2017 when Nicki Minaj allegedly liked a comment dissing Cardi’s bars on a video of her rapping.
However, Nicki was spotted nodding her head in appreciation to Cardi’s summer smash in a Miami nightclub.
Cardi B fired an alleged shot during her verse on G Eazy’s ‘No Limit’.
“Can you stop with all the subs? B***h I ain’t Jared,” the rapper spits in the lyric, which many believed was aimed at Nicki.
Nicki Minaj tells Cardi B to stop being so sensitive to criticism.
Cardi B attempts to fight Nicki Minaj at New York Fashion Week 2018.
Cardi B reportedly got into a physical altercation with Nicki Minaj at Haarper’s Bizarre’s party at New York Fashion Week. According to TMZ, Cardi approached Nicki’s table aiming to resolve their issues amicably. However after being elbowed in the face, Cardi then attempted to fight and also threw her shoe into the melee.
Winner? Nicki Minaj!
Eminem Vs Machine Gun Kelly
The bad blood between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly began to boil in May 2012, when the Cleveland rep made a comment about Em’s daughter, Hailie, in a post on his Twitter account. Referring to Hailie as “hot as fuck” after a photo of the then-16 year-old went viral, Machine Gun Kelly’s comment proved to be the genesis of his rift with Eminem.
Machine Gun Kelly then accused Eminem of Having Him Blackballed and he subliminally dissed Eminem On Wax.
In August 2018, Eminem revived the beef when he directly dissed MGK on “Not Alike”.
The MGK and Eminem beef started to get weird once spectators got involved. While Machine Gun Kelly was at an Atlanta restaurant, he was approached by Ozark actor Gabriel “G-Rod” Rodriguez, who recorded himself calling the rapper “a pussy for going for family”—apparently referring to Kelly bringing up Em’s daughter, Hailie.
It looks like this beef may go dormant—at least on the part of Machine Gun Kelly. The rapper appeared on The Breakfast Club and spoke about the back-and-forth with Eminem, calling the Detroit rapper’s latest diss “out of touch.” MGK said that he has another diss record in the stash, but is shelving it for now.
“I had a clip ready,” MGK said. “I heard ‘Killshot’ and I put that shit back in the holster.”
