The other eight medallists to test positive to banned substances are from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

We have news that Former Super Eagles skipper Joseph Yobo has returned to the Nigeria professional football league. He signed for Kano Pillars as a League Management Ccomapny Ambassador, and could make his debut at Sunshine Stars next week Wednesday.
The deal which Yobo signed with the LMC, WILL see him feature in the domestic league as a way of promoting and adding value to the competition.

World football governing body, FIFA is carrying out investigations to find out whether ex-South Africa football chief Kirs-ten Nema-tan-dani, and two others, engaged in match fixing. FIFA may have evidence that some friendly matches between South Africa and countries like Thailand, Bulgaria, Colombia and Guatemala, which were played 2010, were fixed to favour some betting syndicates.
If they are found guilty, they could face sanctions that could extend to life bans from the game.
