Kesha claims she was ‘offered freedom’ to say she wasn’t raped
Kesha claims she was offered “freedom” from her ongoing attempts to break her contract with Sony — but only if she agrees to retract the rape allegations she’s leveled against her former music producer Dr. Luke.
“I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie,” the songstress wrote on an Instagram post Sunday. “I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors.”
It was not immediately clear if the message, posted on her account “iiswhoiis,” was specifically referring to her contract with the record label.
“I will not take back the TRUTH,” she posted along with a makeup-free selfie. “I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.”
The “Tik Tok” singer has been fighting to end her six-album deal with Sony since she alleged music producer Dr. Luke — real name Luke Gottwald— drugged and raped her.
