Oh Wow! Ed Sheeran Makes Cameo Appearance In “Game Of Thrones” Season 7

It was the worst-kept secret of Sunday night’s (July 16) season 7 Game of Thrones premiere. But that didn’t stop Ed Sheeran from joining the rest of us in freaking out about his cameo as a singing soldier in the Lannister army. The longer-than-you-imagined scene in which he shared some rabbit and blackberry wine with superfan Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) found Ed singing a campfire song.

“For hands of gold are always cold/ But a woman’s hands are warm” crooned Sheeran’s unnamed young soldier. It was a fun Easter egg, and Ed seemed to be stunning over it just as much as the rest of the Sheerio nation. The singer posted a series of pics from the set and his living room during Sunday night’s airing, which crashed HBO’s website due to the flood of traffic.

Your first time on set is always exciting, so Sheeran shared a screen cap of his big moment with the caption, “throwback to the time I was a Lannister.”

Ed also posted a picture from set in which he’s mugging with Williams and episode director Jeremy Podeswa that inspired at least one hilarious comment amid the nearly one million likes. “The club isn’t the best place to find a lover, so the forest is where i gooo ;)”
