‘The Revenant’ wins five awards at BAFTAs

The Revenant wins five awards, including Best Film and Best Director (Alejandro G. Iñárritu, pictured), at the British Academy Film Awards.

It was all smiles for Alejandro Inarritu and Leonardo Di Caprio. On the back of winning a directorial award from the Directors Guild of America for the wilderness drama, ‘The Revenant’, Inarritu was once again named Best Director at the Baftas.

Leonardo Di Caprio will also be greatly encouraged after being named best actor for his role as Hugh Glass in the movie. He’ll definitely have his eye on the Oscars now!

Mad Max Fury Road also put in a strong showing, picking up four awards while Nigerian actor, John Boyega received the Rising Star award for his role in Stars Wars, The Force Awakens.
