Lil Wayne –Tha Carter V
Now that Lil Wayne is free of his deal with Universal and Cash Money, his fans are hungrier than ever to get their hands on Tha Carter V, even going so far as to start hoaxes around its promotion (as seen in the image above).
But the likelihood of a new project this year is strong, even with Wayne teasing the release of the project at concerts and during interviews for years.
Wayne has given fans a taste of new material with his most recent releases Dedication 6 and Dedication 6: Reloaded, but sticking the landing on one of the most important albums of his career could help his case for being the GOAT.
Travis Scott – Astroworld
Trav had always alluded to Astroworld since the end of 2016, and from our findings, it’s the name of an amusement park in Houston where he used to go as a child but sadly closed down in 2005.
Although he never confirmed the news, multiple sources have it that Astroworld album is slated for a 2018 release, but now it looks like we have an exact date confirmation courtesy of producer, Mike Dean. Taking to Twitter, Dean revealed that we can expect Travis Scott’s gift much sooner than anticipated — August 3rd.
More info on Astroworld? Scott revealed this album will be “a little weirder” and said, “The one thing I’ve done on this album is rapped more than I ever have. I want people to get to know Jacques, you know what I’m saying?”
Iggy Azalea – Survive the Summer
We’ve anticipated new materials from Iggy since 2014 but on 7 November 2017, Azalea stated that she isn’t allowed to release music until January 2018, as she signed with a new label. She additionally announced the new title of her second album, Surviving the Summer, thereafter, announcing the title of the lead single from Surviving the Summer, “Savior” featuring Quavo, which was released on 2 February 2018.
On 5 July, Azalea released two tracks from the EP: “Tokyo Snow Trip” and “Kream”, the latter featuring Tyga. Surviving The Summer will be released on 3 August 2018 and we can’t wait!
