As of June 27, music superstar Beyoncé – with 30 career wins to her credit – was already the undisputed Queen of the BET Awards, but that title was cemented with triumphs scored at the franchise’s 2020 edition (which aired June 28).
Entering with 4 nominations (BEST FEMALE R&B/POP ARTIST, ALBUM OF THE YEAR, BET HER AWARD, BEST MOVIE), the 38-year-old had already extended the record with foreknowledge she had been selected as the year’s Humanitarian Award recipient.
Beyonce went home with;
- BET HER Award
- BET Humanitarian Award
In addition to accepting the BET Humanitarian Award, the multi-hyphenate diva also saw her name printed on the 2020 BET HER Award for the inspirational cut “Brown Skin Girl” (featuring Saint Jhn, Wizkid, and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter) found aboard the 2019 ‘Lion King’ companion album, ‘The Gift.’
