It’s the 4th day of November and we’re dedicating this day to our special Fay!
Born Efe Odudu, (on this day, many years ago) FayFay is a super-creative powerhouse who wears many hats. She’s a radio imaging producer, OAP, voice-over artist, event host, singer, podcast consultant, among others.
Being an ardent lover of music, we sought to find out the kinds of songs that make her tick, narrowing it down to her Top 5 Songs of All Time and without further ado, here they are:
Beyoncé – ‘Dangerously in Love’
“It’s the best Beyoncé song that I learnt word for word and it was sent to me by a love interest.”
Hamzaa – ‘Breathing‘
“Hamzaa is relatively new but her voice and message sold this song to my heart.”
Wande Coal – ‘Ololufe‘
“I listen to a lot of love shows on overnight radio and one night this song came on and it changed my view of Nigerian music forever.”
Felix liberty – ‘Ifeoma’
“This classic, my mum would sing it sometimes while cooking or cleaning and just one line of it. So I found the full song on a tape and each time, it reminds me of her.”
Fela – ‘Zombie‘
“Fela is a legend. My cousin Ema and Terrence know of his songs by heart and I loved how they felt when they sang it. The feeling was contagious so I embarked on my own journey to discovering Fela. And this is one of my favs.”
You can catch FayFay on Wednesdays at 9pm-10pm on #SuperStar10 where she hangs out with your favourite celebrities and brings to you the Top 10 Songs on their playlists. You can also join FayFay on Saturdays and Sundays at 9am-12pm on #FayFayOnTheSunnySideUp.
