Apple has picked up the rights to a movie which is to be fronted by Justin Timberlake.
‘Palmer’ is the latest movie to be swept up by Apple as it builds content for its streaming service and tells the tale of a convicted criminal finds an unlikely friend in a neglected child.
Apple’s decision to purchase the release comes after it picked up “Emancipation” for $120 million in a bid to compete with the hard-hitting Netflix has been churning out with support from the likes of Ryan Murphy and Ava DuVernay.
Cheryl Guerriero produced JT’s picture and will see it delivered to Apple subscribers globally come release day.
” We are excited to partner with Apple on this project as they continue to expand their impressive slate. It’s our hope that audiences around the world will connect with this sincerely touching story and we’re confident that ‘Palmer’ has found the right home”.
