Serena Williams reigns once again!
The tennis ace snatched her first title since 2017 today when she triumphed at the Auckland Open.
Williams slayed the ASB Classic, defeating Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-4.
It marks her first title win since giving birth to three-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia – who she ironically was pregnant with at the time.
Speaking after the game, Williams gushed:
“It feels good. It’s been a long time. I’ve been waiting two years for this moment. I think you could see the relief on my face.”
In a commendable move, Williams revealed she will donate the $43,000 prize to the relief effort for the Australian bushfire.
