Barack Obama took to social media on Monday (Dec. 30) to share his favorite music of 2019, and among the hits were songs by the likes of Beyoncé (“Mood 4 Eva”), Burna Boy (“Anybody”), Rema (“Iron Man”) and more.
“From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year,” the USA’s 44th president wrote. “If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”
In addition to obvious smashes like Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” and Lizzo’s “Juice,” Obama showed off his wide-ranging taste by listing deep cuts by Swedish R&B artist Snoh Aalegra (“I Want You Around”), The National (“Oblivions”) and blues singer Adia Victoria (“Different Kind of Love”). Also included were hits like “Suge” by DaBaby, “Hello Sunshine” by Bruce Springsteen and Young Thug’s recent collab with J.Cole and Travis Scott, “The London.”READ MORESpotify Teams Up With Barack and Michelle Obama to Launch Podcasts
